Tie the scale to the weight

Every home has a scale, but have you ever wondered what it actually measures? Is there a difference between mass and weight? Can you lift a heavy stone with a little force?

These are heavyweight questions, but we will try to find lightweight answers.

Join us for a workshop in the physics workshop, where you will learn about a discreet but incredibly effective force at work on Earth. You will also learn what simple machines are. And why, although they are simple, they are brilliant in their simplicity. We will also take a trip to ancient Greece to find out what the philosopher Archimedes and... the goddess of justice, Themis, have to do with it all.

We invite you to explore the world together, looking through the lens of physics.

Duration: 1.5 hours.

Size of group: max. 8 people (including caretaker)

Minimum age for workshop participants: 9 years old. Children under the age of 13 are accompanied by an adult. The carer is required to purchase a ticket. We encourage you to experiment together.
