"Sweet, sweeter, sweetest..." workshop

On July 7, we celebrated Chocolate Day.

This is the perfect opportunity to celebrate this delicious and historically rich sweet.

• Chocolate contains chemicals such as theobromine and phenylethylamine, which stimulate the release of endorphins and serotonin, the happiness hormones, leading to feelings of euphoria and improved mood.
• In addition, chocolate also contains flavonoids, which have been linked to reducing the risk of heart disease.
• However, it is worth remembering that too much chocolate can lead to overweight and other health problems. Therefore, it should be consumed in moderation.

Meanwhile, in the PCN Chemistry workshop "Sweet, sweeter, sweetest...".

See how the participants of the half-term camp from Pałac Młodzieży in Tarnów, 24 Piłsudskiego St., learned about types of sugars and conducted experiments to detect them on their own.
