Chemistry workshop "Testing the pH"

Participants learnt about the most common acids and bases that we come into contact with every day. They had the opportunity to test the Ph of acetic acid and sodium hydroxide. They used on their own the PH indicators used in chemistry laboratories, but also the natural ones present in our kitchens, such as black tea infusion, red beetroot juice and red cabbage juice.
Young chemistry enthusiasts also analysed the Ph of complex mixtures from our environment: household chemicals, foodstuffs and soil.
