Preschool Academy

Preschool Academy is a new educational program by PCN Łukasiewicz, designed for preschool groups (ages 3–6). Classes are held in the Aviation exhibition space, which has been designed to intrigue and engage visitors through interactive exhibits and the opportunity to take on various roles related to aviation. This gives the youngest visitors the opportunity to learn about the world of technology in a natural way – through movement, touch, observation, and action.

Unique workshops for children

During the classes, children learn about the work of a ground traffic controller, pilot, and customs officer, steer “airplanes” according to commands, pack luggage and check it in a scanner, and older groups undergo a simplified security check. These activities develop spatial orientation, cooperation in pairs, concentration, and basic communication skills. The use of selected elements of the exhibition, such as an aviation scanner, educational stations on air traffic control, props, and themed costumes worn by educators, reinforce the sense of authenticity and immersion in the subject. This allows children to familiarize themselves with concepts related to air travel, understand basic safety rules, and develop cooperation skills.

The “Aviation” exhibition, on which the classes are based, presents various aspects of aviation – from the basics of flight physics and the history of conquering the skies, through the construction of flying objects, to issues related to air traffic. Thanks to interactive models, children can experience aviation in an attractive, safe, and understandable way.

First scientific experiences in a friendly space

The program is distinguished by its practical, innovative approach to education – children not only hear about aviation, but actually act as if they were at an airport. This allows them to acquire knowledge in a natural way, through movement, observation, and play. The Preschool Academy allows the youngest children to experience technology in practice, in the safe and friendly environment of our exhibition, while referring to the aviation character of the Podkarpacie region. Each child finishes the classes with a sense of success, real experience, and their first contact with science in practice.  The Preschool Academy uses this space to build children's first educational experiences in contact with science and technology. The classes are dynamic, short, tailored to the age group, and give children a real sense of agency. The program is distinguished by its practical nature and strong reliance on the exhibition, which gives it an innovative form and perfectly corresponds to the region's aviation heritage.

Classes at the Preschool Academy last about 45 minutes and are conducted in groups of 15 to 20 children, which allows for the active participation of all preschoolers.
