Teachers

We invite teachers to take advantage of our educational offer, which supports the teaching process and inspires students to discover the secrets of science. A visit to the science center is an interesting way to diversify school classes and an opportunity for students to integrate through cooperation while using exhibits or during workshops.

We offer organized school groups admission to the exhibition for PLN 22 per person and participation in workshops for PLN 25 per person.

What have we prepared for schools?

Exhibition

Almost 200 interactive exhibits – that's how many opportunities to explore science await children and young people at the Łukasiewicz Podkarpackie Science Center. The exhibition has been divided into three complementary macro-areas:

• The world around us – nature and the laws governing the world,
• Our civilization – inventions, technology, and culture,
• We, Humans – the human body and how it works.

Delving into them, students will discover five thematic exhibitions:

• Aviation – the exhibition presents the beginnings of aviation, various types of flying structures, and the organization of airports. An additional attraction for students is a flight simulator.
• I Live – an exhibition focused on human biology. It discusses the senses and the functioning of the body.
• Nature – combines issues related to the natural world and human impact on the ecosystem. It discusses in a simple way issues related to fauna and flora, as well as phenomena and processes occurring in nature.
• Supplementary exhibition – 30 exhibits that expand on the topics presented in the main exhibitions and allow visitors to delve deeper into issues in the field of science and technology.
• Mobile exhibition – designed for visits to educational institutions and outdoor events. Selected exhibits encourage independent experimentation and discovery of phenomena in fields such as nature, technology, and the functioning of the human body.

• Mobile planetarium – a facility equipped with an auditorium and special equipment for projecting astronomical shows onto a screen, which is the dome above the audience's heads.

Workshops

PCN has five laboratories: physics, chemistry, biology, robotics, and FabLab, which offer a range of practical classes tailored to the age of the students. The workshops will diversify lessons and allow students to acquire new skills.

Lesson plans

We have prepared a set of free lesson plans for teachers, tailored to the core curriculum. The plans include a full description of the course, worksheets, and defined objectives.

Mobile Planetarium

The Mobile Planetarium is an extraordinary exhibit that... will come to your school and take students to unknown corners of the universe! A rich program tailored to different age groups makes each screening an unforgettable adventure. The Planetarium's visit to your school is free of charge.
