Mobile planetarium
Mobile Planetarium of the Podkarpackie Science Center 'Łukasiewicz'
The mobile planetarium is a facility equipped with an auditorium and special equipment for projecting astronomical shows onto a screen, which is a dome above the audience's heads.
This innovative educational exhibit, thanks to 360-degree technology, takes participants on a journey to unknown corners of the universe. The perfect image combined with a surround sound system gives the impression of being transported in time and space.
It is a deep dive into astronomical knowledge, but also into mythology, history, physics, and geography—from the beginnings of prehistoric Earth, through the inventions and technological achievements of humanity, to the mysterious galaxies scattered throughout the universe. This is a journey we can take while sitting comfortably in our seats.
What can you see?
We offer a program tailored to different age groups. Younger viewers will find simple stories here, while older and more demanding viewers will appreciate both the depth and accuracy of the content presented.
The films are shown in 2D and 3D formats. For safety reasons, we do not recommend them to people with spatial anxiety or epilepsy.
In our “school under the stars,” the sky is at our fingertips. All you have to do is invite us.
How to invite the Planetarium to your school or event?
If you represent a school, university, cultural or educational institution, municipality, or run an association or foundation, you can invite us to your location, where experienced animators will conduct presentations using our mobile Planetarium.
To do so, please write to planetarium@pcn.org.pl with a description of where and when you would like to invite us, how many people can attend the event, and whether the event you are organizing is free of charge for its participants.
